Sun Route Puno to Cusco

06:40am - Our starting point will be the Puno bus terminal.

We will begin the tour and our first stop will be the Pucará Archaeological Museum. At this point we will learn valuable information about the origins of the Andean civilization in the highlands.

Continuing our tour we will pass by La Raya, which is the highest point of our route, located at 4335 meters above sea level, this point divides the regions of Puno and Cusco. We will make a brief stop and observe part of the Andean mountain range.

Then we will enjoy a lunch in a country restaurant, which offers a wide variety of typical dishes from the area.

After enjoying our lunch, we will visit the Raqchi archaeological center, which presents Inca constructions such as aqueducts, underground tombs and enclosures, in addition to its main attraction: The Temple of Wiracocha, a construction with walls over 14 meters high, one of the highest Inca works.

Continuing our route, now it's time to visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas, better known as The Sistine Chapel of America, for its wonderful works of art painted on its walls. Finishing our trip, we will arrive in the city of Cusco at 5:30pm and we will leave you at the bus terminal.
