In this 2 days tour we will visit the Colca Canyon, known for being one of the deepest canyons in the world. We will also have the privilege of observing one of the largest birds on the planet: The Condor, we will be able to appreciate the majestic flight of the Condor at the viewpoint of the cross of the condor. In addition to all this we will enjoy direct contact with nature. We will be accompanied by a specialized guide who will tell us about the history of the cultures that inhabited this area. We will enjoy a delicious lunch, with Andean dishes made with local products.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01:

07:30am a 08:00am – Pick up from hotels in the center of Arequipa.


08:30am - We begin our journey to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our point of operations will be the town of Chivay, which we will arrive in approximately 04 hours, counting all the tourist stops. As a first point we will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we will be able to appreciate the vicuñas that inhabit this area, after that very close we will visit Patahuasi to drink the traditional coca tea, a traditional drink essential for altitude sickness (mountain sickness). Then we will also make a small stop in the Toccra wetlands where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area. An obligatory stop at the Viewpoint of the Volcanoes, the highest point on the road that reaches 4800 m.sn.m, from where we will appreciate much of the western mountain range, from this point it would only take 40 minutes to reach the town of Chivay.


12:30pm - We will arrive to Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch (payment on behalf of the client). After lunch we will settle in our respective hotels. During the afternoon we will be able to enjoy a relaxing bath in the Hot Springs (Optional entrance paid by the client) whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C to 38º C of temperature in the pools.


For dinner (payment on behalf of the client) we can enjoy a folkloric show with typical dances of the area. Overnight in Chivay.


DÍA 02:

Breakfast. After breakfast we will move to the Viewpoint of the Cruz del Condor, which is 01 hour away, it is the observation point of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will spend an average of 45 minutes to observe the beauty of the Colca canyon.


On our return we will stop at the viewpoints of the area from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the Valley and in the town of Maca, where we will see its church and optional taste of local drinks such as Colca Sour, made with products from the zone.


12:00pm - Lunch in Chivay. (payment on behalf of the client)


01:00pm - We will return fully to the city of Arequipa. If on the first day of our tour we did not know a point on the way to Chivay, on the return we can make a stop to meet all the tourist stops, this depending on the weather and the group.

05:00pm – We will arrive in the city of Arequipa, and we will leave you near the Main Square.
