06:00am – We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to Ollantaytambo on a 2-hour trip. Arriving in Ollantaytambo we will board our train heading to the town of Aguas Calientes, we will have a 2-hour train ride. Arriving in Aguas Calientes, our guide awaits us to take us up by bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu. We will have a 30-minute trip to reach the citadel.

Arriving at Machupicchu we will enter and have a tour of the entire site accompanied by our guide. Machupicchu is an impressive Inca citadel built on a mountain, rich in flora and fauna. Its name in Spanish means Old Mountain. It has also been called the Lost City of the Incas, as it was unknown to the outside world until Hiram Bingham revealed its existence to the West in 1911. It was built in the 15th century and attributed to Inca Pachacutec. The site is divided into sectors covering approximately 20 hectares. The agricultural sector consists of terraces up to four meters high cut on the slopes of the mountains. The urban sector is made up of open spaces and buildings, including the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana or solar observatory, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple and the Condor Sector.

After the tour of the citadel we will go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon we will have some time in the town of Aguas Calientes before taking our train back to Ollantaytambo. On a 2-hour return train trip we will arrive at Ollantaytambo where our mobility awaits us and will return us to the city of Cusco.

We will arrive in Cusco late at night and we will drop you off at your respective hotel.
