CITY TOUR EN AREQUIPA Y CAÑON DEL COLCA

DETAILED ITINERARY:

DÍA 1: CHECK IN – CITY TOUR MIRABUS

At an opportune time transfer from Airport to Hotel. Installation in Hotel

02:00pm We begin our tour on the “Mirabus” from the main square, traveling through different tourist attractions of the city. Our first stop will be the district traditional Yanahuara where you can see the portals that have various engravings and his Church. Then we head towards the Cayma district towards the Carmen viewpoint High, from there you can see the Misti volcano as well as the terraces of the place. We are going to Incalpaca where there is a small mini zoo of the four South American camelids that are the Alpaca, the Vicuña, the Llama and the Guanaco. Next we go to the Founder's Mansion, which as its name indicates It was the house of the founder of Arequipa Don Manuel Garci de Carbajal. Our last stop It will be the Sabandia Mill that has been operating for many years until today; there They can also carry out recreational activities such as horseback riding, cycling, etc.

Finishing the tour we will leave you near the Plaza de Armas. Overnight.

DÍA 2: COLCA FULL DAY – CHECK OUT

03:00am to 03:30am – Pick up from Hotels in the center of Arequipa,

03:30am - Departure from Arequipa to Chivay.

After 3 hours of travel we will arrive at the town of Chivay where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, which is 30 minutes away, it is the observation point of the Colca Canyon and if possible to see the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will spend an average of 45 minutes to observe the beauty of the Colca Canyon.

On the way back we will stop at the viewpoints in the area from where we will observe the impressive andenería del Valle and in the town of Maca, where we will see its church and optionally taste of local drinks such as the Colca Sour, made from local products.

Then we will enjoy a relaxing bath in the Thermal Waters whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C to 40º C in temperature in the pools.

Lunch in Chivay.

After lunch we begin our way back to Arequipa and during the journey we will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, which is also the highest area of the road (4800 meters above sea level) from where we will appreciate great part of the western mountain range. Then we will pass through the Bofedales where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area.

We will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home of vicuñas which live freely in this area.

05:00pm – We will arrive at the city of Arequipa and we will leave you very close to the Plaza de Armas.

At the indicated time, transfer from your Hotel to the Airport. End of our services.
